What's up guys, me and a friend are starting... well building a studio we have building that we can pretty much start from the ground up literaly i need some advice on what to do to the walls becaus right now there are none just a office converted garage

we dont plan on doing alot of live music recordings so we plan on having two vocal booths and one big control room we really like the Boss cd1600 mixer so we probally will have 2 of those and 2 dedicated music pc's...

off topic alittle but does and one have any experience using those Music XPC's like http://www.musicxpc.com/products.htm on this site...

well to sum it up what do we need i know the basic equipment and since we are not booth experts at recording it's going to be a lot of experimenting before i get to most of you yalls level but what do you recoment for a start up studio that wont limt us and can be expanded later

That won't limt you?(btw, its LIMIT) In what sense? Square footage? isolation ? Cabling? transmission loss? Microphones? Floating rooms? Mixers? What?

Then you might bone up on some stuff here:

After reading all that, you should be able to pinpoint a few of your questions.
