I need a sound card.

After a couple of posts in the wrong forum, I am here to get help finding an affordable 8 input sound card to record drums. If there is no 8 channel out there between $100-$200 I'll take suggestons for a 4 Channel. It seems that the preamps on the Q10 are what is making it $800. I figure if I get the inputs now,and then use the preamps from a mixer later, I will be ok.

Yes there is something at that price range from audiotrak , the Maya 44MKII, a 24/96 capable soundcard with 4 analog I/O’s, Microphone Preamp with Phantom Power (+12V) and Headphone Amplifier (125 mW @ 32 Ohm). The price range online for this product is between 109$ and 159 $.
