I need a Mastering Engineer.

I'm starting to record a promo cd with a band,and I believe that the mastering is better to be done by a Mastering Engineer,so does anyone can master it in the end???I want it to be fucking strong,fat and loud.

What in blue blazes are ya doing here? IF your looking for PseudoMastering you've come to the right place, if your serious, I mean ready to spend money on your project serious, I can send you to a nice place to ask the same question.

Mixerman, you know I love you more than life itself... but fuck off, dude. Thats no kind of answer.

I know some places he could go where no one would take him seriously... or maybe they'd all say "I can do it!!" regardless of style preferences, cuz they want the money...

But I also know that there are a LOT of guys here who work with professional MEs, and are fully qualified to give this guy advice.

If you want to redirect someone ON THIS BOARD... it's easy. It goes like this:

You might have noticed me do the same on your board in the past. Nobody really has a problem with it... and you dont need to be a lamer.

Seriously though, Bruce and Ed can provide pretty decent Psuedo's for next to nothing if that the route John wants to go, I was sorta baiting the hook if you know what I mean. But when you start talking about Dave Collins, Brad Blackwood, Trev Sadler etc...Then people need to know what its going to cost. I think Ronny Morris is also a great resource. But it costs $800 to $1000 for low end ME's rather than $100 to $300 for Startups. Dave Collins is the man, if you can afford him, he will give you a master to remember. I was listening to some Winger that he did in the 90's, makes me smile
