MISTERQCUE

Not Just Anutha Brutha
...............is GM compatible, has pitch-bend and is portable!
I don't need Hi-note polyphonies or multi-voiced. Just want to
use it as a controller! Please don't reccomend those ultralucent
$99 key-contollers tht come in diff colors as they don;t have pitch-bend!
Thx for your help!

I see a lot of these in pawn shops that would serve this purpose well, and cheap.
Might want to check on ebay to.

Why do you need GM compatibility?

And what IS GM compatibility?? The only thing it is for a controller is that you can send one or another command that you'll hardly ever use... (Some change channel thingy... You don't need that in a studio, since you'll want to look thru all the sounds in your expander and not the lousy GM patches...)

Q,

You can also get a cheap/used Casio keyboard with a midi interface and talk to the synth.

In the studio Keep it simple and safe (KISS)

I use a Yamaha DJX (I guest 1 since there is a 2). I received it as a gift when I started building my studio, thought of getting other keyboards but with SONAR all I need is more DXi. You don't need to worry about the GM aspect becuase you just need it to be a controller.

go to radioshack and buy an optimus md -1200. It has everything you ask for. I bought mine for $215, but I think they've come down to about $170.

I'll trade you mine for an rnc. I just got a roland xp-10 so I dont use mine anymore.

you can do better than that!!!

An OXYGEN midi controller is $130 thru Musiciansfriend.com.....

check my earlier link...... and it has prog. knobs for softsynths....
