My problem is in the latency field but its a little tricky, the first few tracks i record are fine like the first 5 or so lets say, then after that they start to kinda lag behind and go off time, very subtle but very annoying. Im thinking either

A the hard drive I have is to slow

B i got some drive problems or something that i cant figure out

or more likely

C im a friggin retard.

BTW Im using a
PIII 1 gig
256 ram
delta 66 / omni studio
40 gig internal hard drive that came with the computer (Dell)
im not sure if this is a 5200 or a 7200 (or whatever the numbers are) and im also not sure if that can slow me down or lag me behind

Also i remember someone saying long ago bout clearing wave files or something and i have no idea how to do that either

You guys are always very helpful
Thank for reading my post if you are

Not sure if this helps but adjusting your buffers/memory per channel could do it. And in terms of clearing wav. files you go to panels>audio pool>delete unused files and this will clear any unused files in that song, however they're then gone for good. Also I got the hint from this forum to use the confirm record which basically just allows you to keep or erase a recorded wav. immediately after recording.

Again don't know if any of this is of use to you but good luck and I'm sure the true pros here will help you out sooner or later.
