I go and record myself a personal ear trainer via 1 microphone from the piano. I want to master it, but I guess it takes more than that. The documentation with Cubase isn't answering me, and there is no real mastering section. I did happen to almost get it down to a specific format I wanted, but then it told me that I needed to set my right and left locators, how in the hell do I do that?

I'm confused... I just wanted to recording something so I could listen to it in my iPod. How far has mastering come?

Thanks if you could provide any help. Oh, and why isn't there a master track in the mixer view? What should I export my file as? Stereo? Mono? Spliot Stereo? There's a million different ways.

Sorry about the double post, I accidentally posted in the Cakewalk forum... my apologies.

Setting the locators is one of the first basic tasks. The manual and online help explains it. Mind you... I'm not saying this to be rude, but if you're having problems at this level you may want to try settle down with the manual for a night and just read through it.
