Wharfedale 8.2 Pro Active Studio Monitors

Haha I would love a set of those but i kind of spend most of my budget on the RME Fireface so I couldn't afford those for a while ...

I am seriously considering the Wharfedale 8.2 Pro Active Studio Monitors ...they have plenty of good reviews on this forum and they are well within my budget... :)

Does any one else have any good experience of these monitors?

Wharfedale 8.2's are pretty crappy. theyre too bright and definitely not close to flat.
if i were you, i would really consider one of the KRK ones.

A lot of people seem to think the Wharfedales are great ...like Massive Master?

What about the Behringer Truths ?

Seems to be quite a few around here that think the crappy Wharfdale's are just fine. Guess it's all the the "ear of the beholder".

Can't argure with the KRK recommendation, I've heard of pair of 8" KRK's that I thought were delivering no BS in regards to the mix I was listening to. A friend that uses them in his studio gets some nice mixes on them. Only thing I'd be worried about on the smaller KRK's would be the bass and possibly over compensating for the lack of it - that's where a sub would come in.

Massive likes the passives, which they no longer make.

I have the 8.2As, though and I like 'em fine. They're much better than my NS-10's that's for sure. I use a KRK RP-10 sub with them.

i own these .. they work great ... except for the LED on the left one haha :D

I like and use KRK rokit8's, and it seems to be a general consensus that they're good for the price. I don't think a woofer is necessary with that size either, the rp5's prolly so
