I just bought a Tascam US-1641

Convince me that I made the right choice!!!!! I make primarily indie music, I mostly use a Rode NT2-a and a pair of Rode NT5s, I'm not striving for perfect sound or anything, I just needed an interface that would last me years of recording. DID I MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE? ;_;
 
It's a new US-1800. My bad. I don't know why I said 1641.
 
Yes you did, and even if it were the 1641, you would get the same answer from me. Nothing but love for the interface. Enjoy!! :D
 
As I understand, the biggest difference between the two models (1641 & 1800) is that the x-former in the 1641 is internal, while the one for the 1800 is part of the power supply cable. Both are quality units! I own the 1800, myself.

Some fool sold me the US-800. He thought he ripped me off, but I made great songs with it, so the joke's on him.
