i hear windows?? firebox question?

k i have firebox event tr8 xl now i hear windows and its sounds in on speaker....not normal sound neither like when i minimize stuff i hear it and i hear like little signals like when i am on a website.........its only one speaker but i remeber i had same prob with my soundblaster but i muted like cdplayer and line outs and it went away...so is there any options for firebox.??i mean its really not noticeable but its noticeable.cause i sit near speaker
 
Don't know what version of Windows you are using (I use Windows XP Pro), or if I completely understand your question, but....

You can shut off all Windows default sounds through the Control Panel. It would be under Sounds and Audio Devices. Under the Sounds tab, you can set the Sound Scheme to No Sounds which I would do when recording audio - or just in general.
 
Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> "Sounds" tab -> Sound Scheme select "No Sounds"
 
naw i did that...........thats not the problem....it seems that their is these little sounds almost like the one u get just before your cell phone rings when u are near a speaker.
 
Interference of some sort? That's the only thing I can think of. Some kind of RF thing....

Don't know what to tell you. Do you have a cell phone near the computer?
 
It's probably just V2K. Line your baseball cap with aluminum foil and it should go away. :D

I didn't think of that. It's probably best to use heavy-duty foil, isn't it? Maybe wrap the monitors in foil? :eek:
 
if you have a wireless network, it leaves you open for interference in your monitors, just like a cell phone. On my setup, the router had to be pretty close to hear it though (within a couple feet).
 
i fixed it and i do have my wireless router and wii.......kind of close 6ft but it seems it was the wire...........switched it and it was gone
