ok i have cool edit and i have recorded some stuff for guitar, but the sound is low/ and kind crispy. how do i make the sound abit louder and abit more cleaner or abit more distorted??

thanks..

Are you using a computer mic? If it sounds low and bassy, mess with the Parametric EQ filter. If you want to make a diddy you recorded louder, near the Record button, click and drag the rectangle with the V for volume.

thanks for the help, but where is the Parametric EQ filter and where is the "V" thing for volme? i can't find it...

Umm...look. You gotta' give us a little more help, first of all. If you want more distortion on a guitar, turn the gain up on your amp until it distorts more, or hit a harder setting on your Tubescreamer, or select a heavier plugin patch from Revalver...

My point is, what you're asking is really a recording question that might be better (and more accurately) answered in the Guitars/Bass forum or something.

If the sounda that you're hearing sucks, AND it sounds different than it did when you were tracking it, then you need a better soundcard.

I know this may not be the kind of answer you were looking for, but if the sound you recorded sucks and isn't fat enough or something, record it again and get it right. Now, if you're having trouble getting a GREAT SOUND to record in CEP, come back, lol.

[edit] - As for making it louder, look in the help file under "Amplification," - takes about 2 seconds.
