Hi, I have a Roland CUBE-30X Guitar Combo Amplifier and need some help. My friend told me since it's a combo amp, it isn't compatible with distortion pedals.

I dont see how that's possible but would like to know if this is true or not. I would love to get a heavier, more piercing sound on my guitar so would like some good distortion pedal recommendations too. Preferably of ones below $200. That is if my amp can even use them:confused:

yes, you can use pedals...

but doesnt it have amp models and distortions built in?

Yes it does, but they're not to my exact liking and want to improve the sound. I use the distortion at the fullest, and still I don't feel it sounds that heavy. Like I want a hard rock heavy sound. I just hope I can get that with a distortion pedal
