I have a question about the tone works AX1G

Can anybody out there tell me how to make the sample and play effect work? I followed the instructions that came with it but nothing happens. Also the delay/hold won't work either. Other than those things everything else works fine. I even took it back to where I bought it thinking maybe there was something wrong with it but the secound unit wouldn't work either. Help me if anybody can.

Yes!!!!!! I had the same exact problem until about two weeks ago. That manual is pee pee doo doo. What I had to do was just continue repeatedly mashing down the top of the expression pedal and hold it for a second. Just keep doing it until that red light starts to blink. Activating it is sometimes inconsistent, so be patient and don't stomp that plastic little gadget into a million pieces.

When it starts blinking, it's ready to sample. So if you're doing, say, a guitar riff, the machine will start to sample when you start playing. Though you have to be playing something with some volume to activate the sampler.The sample lasts about three seconds and you can listen to it and manipulate it by rocking the pedal back and forth. When you want a new sample, just start mashing the pedal again.

Also, if you unplug your 1/4 inch jacks from the pedal it wipes out the sample. Good luck and have fun!!!!!!

Man I wish I could reach thur this screen and shake your hand. What you wrote me opened that box of worms like magic! Although it didn't work for bank R-5 (at first) it made all the other one's that use the same concept work. I guess I just didn't press the pedal hard enough. Here's how I got bank R-5 to work for me, without mashing the hell out of it. First select bank R-5 the letters FWD/BK appears in the LCD window. Next press the edit button, the word DIST 1 comes up. Now press the page < (left) button 7 times, the word SAMPLE 2(value 2) appears. Next, press the page > (right) button 6 times, the word WRITE appears and bank 5 will start flashing. Now, press the enter button, the word COMPLT will come on briefly, bank 5 will still be flashing. If you wish to keep the bank number the same just press the enter button and the word COMPLT will appear again and you have saved the imformation. Now, press the edit button and you're done! now maybe you won't have to mash that poor little thing into the ground. Also, you might want to recalibrate the pedal. I don't know if you have to, but it couldn't hurt. If you still have the instruction book it'll tell you how, if not let me know. Hey stinky, thanks again! (I don't think you stink at all)
