How did you mix your vocals? I'm messing with some and it's not coming out the way I want it.
 
on this joint...basically all i did was a single track of the main vocals...4:1 compression

a second track of doubles...also 4:1 compression, lowered like -7.5db

and a 3rd track of adlibs same compression....panned like 40% lowered like -4.5db


the conversations before and after the verses i did on different tracks panned right and left.


but i think you just need to cop a budget Condensor homie for the vocals..

im not good at mixing...lol the mic helps me alot.

man...we waiting on a verse from a famous mc i wont name until i get the verse....lol..


he been saying the engineer been flaking on him...thats why we dont have the verse already...but we supposed to get it this week definitely according to him...but he been saying that for the past few weeks.


when we get that verse...we gonna record one more track...working off his verse depending on what he spits...mix it down....get it mastered and pressed..


hopefully VERY SOON!

we also trying to do a video shoot in mid december.
