I used to go to a primary school called Crossroads Primary School & the cook was a fantistic lady who cooked a mean meal (believe it or not). when I was 20-21 she retired & as a retiring gift I composed recorded & produced a traditional scottish (caithnessian in my case) waltz & I heard it earlier & was blown away by it as I had almost completely forgotten about it

done on Logic if memory serves me well

BOING what a pleasant surprise

BTW this not what I'm normally up to ;)

Very nice slidey! Very pristine!

I am listening again and I am waltzing around my studio with my pet kangaroo! :D

I don't believe you though when you say this isn't what you normally get up to! :D

Waltzing eh? I bet the pet Roo is leading the dance isn't it?

Very fine arrangement and playing there Slidey-its great how well the keyboard parts and the tremolo guitar compliment each other. You have a cool dance hall sound going there!

slight seaside vybe as well

& the roo was leading or else gorty would be bitch slapped

Pretty well done. I used to play a lot of traditional music a longtime ago and you've got the feel for it down.

here's something else I'd forgotten about. called Illusion Reviewed recorded it about 7-8 years ago on PT-LE & then finished it off on Mix+ it was just a quick mix at the time & I never ever went back to it

there's obviously things not right but hey again nice surprise when you'd forgotten about it

thanks man, I've spent a good part of musical life playing traditional music but it's never been my main thing in musical life BUT there's a lot of work for someone who can play it up where I am

Yeah, there's still a reasonable market here for it, but I don't have a trombone anymore and wouldn't play it if I did. :D

lol I have the incentive of £75-100 per night to play it. As a lead guitarist which can be fun working in a function band & a large part of the night is traditional

Listening to the first one now...nice sounds man. Very clean. All you? Very cool man....

Second one. More good sounds man. Fun tune.....good stuff man...for an older tune, it sounds really nice.

Third one. Nice jazzy vibe. Love the bass line. Great tones man....awesome guitar. All around, another fun one.

Oh, I'd play the music, just can't play trombone with dentures. :D And bass jobs don't open up in those groups unless someone dies... which I hope doesn't happen. (But should the need arise and and one is called to serve, then I'm sure one could see his way fit..)

HAHA my ol' man is tackling sax with dentures. & people dieing. The violin player in the band I'm in came on board when Roy (god rest his soul) passed away so I know what you mean

Dogman thanks for that dude..............yeah somebody asked for a copy of the demo disc that I have & I had these memories come back to me of tracks forgotten

My God that brings back some memories of the weddings we used to play.

The only thing missing is the fiddle player....

What keyboard are you using on this (can you recall?)

Phrasing is perfect.....

Lovely waltz slidey......

the keys if I remember correctly was done using my JV2080 module although having just typed it I'm not sure if it might have been a D50 roland or a mix of both. However not being much of a keys player at the time I used a godin LGXT to power the synths by means of a roland GI10 midi interface

you used to play weddings huh??? I do them all the time
