Just another guy, really.
I don't mean gear I bought on spec, I mean gear I played for a reasonable time. Sold the Fender Champ 25SE, even though I loved it's clean tones. Just didn't play it much, any more. Got a good price, made a decent profit. I'll miss it on occasion, but the money is nice. The lefty Squire Strat is on CL at a reasonable price, too, so it will sell soon.

Now, I just gotta decide which guitar or amp is next...

damn I'm not getting any fish to bite around here?
dropping prices and giving things away seems to work on craigs list...

good luck selling the guitar!

A lefty Strat Squire I would expect $100 if its not the Affinity line, then maybe $45.

Fender name brand is helpful.... Leo said that "making the name known was the most difficult of all" not verbatim, but name brand recognition is tough, supposedly.

I got to drop prices , I guess $20 for stuff, maybe $70 for a $250 all small Champ like tube amp...(non Fender- homemade),
sell studio monitor amp I guess from $100 sell it for $35....old crap laying around.

I get alot of texts and people wanting to trade too....is that your exp?

Oh, yeah, I seem go get a trade offer on almost anything I post on CL. That does not bother me too much- what hacks me off is the email or phone price "offers," that invariably lead to "It's not as nice as I thought, I'll give you (less than the previous offer.)" I tell those yahoos that I do not consider offers thusly made- do your dealings in person or move on.

I'm in the $100 range for the Strat. It's a Standard, not an Affinity.

Brand does matter- I am wary of a home-made amp, even if it's based on a design I like, because the built and component quality could be all over the map and I don't want to get burned. But if I read you correct, heck, I might buy those two amps if shipping won't kill me.

What I hate are the messages from people who turn out to be scammers - when they ask you to ship the item, etc.
I sold my 69 Fender Bandmaster Reverb head, still trying to sell the 2x12 cabinet.

UPDATE: sold the speaker cabinet on Ebay yesterday. Have an old no-name ('Mako') bass on craigslist now for $40 that has sparked a few replies (I think from women buying for their kids!)

I just sold the amp, so is it beginning of the month / paydays help?
yeah!!!

$125 the speaker was a MEsa Boogie Black Shadow...so that alone is worth something, then the 2 12x and a EL84 with point to point wiring and several years old not one crackle in a pot and the plugs perfect, so it was built up well, but again not a $1500 Boooooteeek Baby.... anyway

It was a great homemade one, hadnt played it in a while, but when I plugged it in, I almost didnt want to sell it! ....fun.. hopefully the user will get some miles out of it.
I was amazed how good it sounded, little tube amp in a big reflective room helped.
It been sitting untouched like your little Fender..

one thing is wierd is I had posted this thing a bunch of times, edited the ad, deleted it redited it...

and the price was all over the place on it....$250, $100....then $150....then $125... the dewd offered me $125 and I couldnt remember what I had it posted for!
So I took $120...
