I don't think it was that "dramatic" but I think the reason for the first one going for more was due mainly to better picts, tho still pretty dusty. My experience is that the better the picts, the more it goes for. Not always but MOST of the time. Picts make the difference.

I would say alot of it was time of day. And maybe a little better bunch of pictures.

Photographing an R-8 with the face place/remote removed makes it look somehow defective even though it is a great feature that the seller had the remote extender cable for it, it still made the unit look cheap or broken by comparison to the other one which had it attached and with much larger more detailed pictures that made the unit look bigger then what is is in reality.

There's an entire psychology to buying and selling gear and it often has nothing to do with the quality of the gear.

Cheers! :)

what????

the second one WAS damaged!

am I the only one who can read????

I dont get it!

...

They were both damaged.

The first one had unflattering pics.

The second one had flattering pics, that unfortunately showed it to be a filthy worn looking unit.

How they both bid so high is anyone's guess.

I got a like-new, near-mint R8 for $250, that was spotless. ;)
