I can't hear myself?????

I have recorded bass, drums and guitar. Now I am trying to insert a vocal track. The vocal track does record on a seperate track in multi-track view, but I can't hear myself sing in the headphones. As I am singing, it does record but I am unable to hear my vocal in the phones.

Here's the setup
My phones are plugged into the back of my soundcard with a 1/4 inch to 1/8th stereo adapter.

I can hear every track fine except for the track that i am actually recording. How can I fix it so that i can hear what i am adding while I am adding it?

It's probably something to do with your soundcard mixer settings. So what are you using?

Bring up the mixer for your soundcard and make sure the monitor input is not muted or the level is turn down.
