Picked up a small amp 2 weeks ago and got a chance to record with it. I basically flipped it on and this is the sound that came out of it. Cant wait to tweak some knobs and really give it a try. I need to put some lyrics to this. Maybe "Cookie Monster" vocals? There is some timing issue with the drums in spots that I will fix when I get the lyrics done and finish it up. The lead at the end sucks too. But it was a quicky to try the little amp out. If anyone wants to attempt writing lyrics and singing to it, be my guest.

Lol. Pretty heavy. What kind of amp is it? Please don't cookie-monster it. :D

Nice meaty sound.
Does that make it Grub Steak?

Speaking of steak. I took my wife to Olive Garden and got some Beef tips with mushroom risotto and OMG I got so sick later on. I could have sh+t through a screen door at 50 yards.

Nice clear crunchy mix....sounds really good...I could actually picture a DIO type vocal on this ...or Cookie monster...it's all good...kinda reminded me of "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" at times....nice!

Thanks Queepy. I wish I could sing like Dio :)

Nice sound Bush!
Song-wise it takes a pretty long time to get to that variation which would make a good chorus. Try to give the thing some more structure, like verse/chorus/ verse/ chorus/ solo/chorus, etc. Nice riff and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath remains one of my all-time favourites. No sin in being inspired by Sabbath, I do it all the time...:D. This would make a great song and I would sing on it for you if you constructed it. Don't cookie-monster it!

Joey :):):):)

Thanks Joey. I will take you up on it. And I'll give it a proper structure too. I need to play with that amp some more when I get a chance. For $299 its seems to be a bargain. Actually had a 10% off Guitar Center coupon too so it was $269. Little thing gets quite loud.

Nice!

Sounds awesome, and Joey would definitely be able to add some killer vox!

Been thinking of buying one of the Vypyr amps. Does the "Power Sponge" on the 75 really do well to lower the volume while maintaining the tone?

I just played a Vypyr for the first time today. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't do enough really heavy duty stuff to lay out the big bucks for the monster tube amps, and I've got other amps for the clean to crunch to kinda-heavy, so I was just checking out all the really high gain settings. I must say, modeling is really coming along. I might just get one to have some fun tracking those ultra saturated sounds...

It is a pretty cool amp for $299. Records well. Some people had problems with earlier versions, but I guess a firmware update fixed most issues.

Was in the general vicinity of a GC tonight and stopped in just to see if the hoopla I've heard is really worth it. I was totally floored. They didn't have the 30W version, so I killed the power and volume on a 75W and quietly (can't have the whole store know how poorly I play guitar :D) jammed for a few minutes. I loved it. I'm probably gonna try to unload my Vox AD30VT and pick up either the 30 or 75 Watt.

Call me crazy, but if I get one--I'm getting the $99 8" jobber. For a hundred bucks, I'd love to have some of those nasty sounds to throw a mic in front of... I don't use them enough to justify much more $$...

I would do that, but the deal breaker is the lack of stompbox models on the 15W. I don't really have access to a lot of pedals, so the stompbox models are a definite plus for me.

**Edit**
The footswitch (while expensive) looks quite handy as well. Mostly would be used for playing live (which I rarely do), but instead of having the 12 presets available on the amp, you can save 400 with the footswitch. Plus it looks real space-age!! :D

At some point Im gonna pick up the dual pedal. I just wish I had some free time to play with it !!!!!!!!!!! Plus at Peaveys web site I found some cool presets Im wanting to try.
