Hello Leeroy ! I see you are a beat merchant of mystery.
Welcome to the explosion in a pizza factory.

excellent idea. I wonder if they would sell.

But all seriousness aside, what kind of beats do you make? What do you use? Just curious. I goof around with an old drum machine and crap sampler occasionally so I guess that's making beats.

Hello Leroy. May we have a sample of your beats?

Sure:

Here's my techno beat
BOOM (sicka) BOOM (sicka) BOOM (sicka) BOOM (sicka)...

Here's my rock beat:

THUD ( snare ) TH (snare ) THUD ( SNARE ) THUD TH (Snare)

BEaTs4U is no doubt an alias and will be banned shortly. Unless he wants to 'fess up.....

Nice sarcasm

Jokes aside, those two are legitimate beats.

Its appears that you are biting off more than you can chew at the moment. You need to understand basic principles.

Most rock and hip hop is around 1/8 notes or 1/16th notes. Load up FL and then load FPC onto a channel. Click on piano roll and just start adding kicks and snares ( once you find them on the piano roll.)

Set your tempo to about 90 BPM and set your grid to 1/8 notes for starters.

You can still export yourr FL beats as midi and open them in another program.

I reckon you would enjoy Addictive Drums for the realism and options it allows.

It has gigs of drum samples but its main drawcard is the mixing engine. It has Producer Presets which ( with one click ) change the whole tone of your beat. So you can go from having a rock kit with some stage reverb to a highly compressed and processed Hip Hop kit while using the exact same beat you constructed.
