Ok, I bought a SB Audigy EX (yes I know I should not of bought it), for a brand new machine that I built myself. It is running XP. I have installed the Audigy Card and the Extension card. The computer recognizes that the Audigy is there. Sound is coming out of the card too. THen when I go to download the drivers I get a message saying that no SB Audigy us detected, check installation. SO I do, it is installed correctly. Sound is coming out of the card too.
I am getting no activity in the breakout box as well. When I plug in the heaphones into the jack get nothing. I have let SB know but of course..no response. I have no clue what to do, I have tried everything.
Any Idea on what to do will be gladly accepted...Thanks!

Unfortunately, it sounds like a problem with the driver itself - almost as if the driver isn't capable of detecting it under certain circumstances. Have you installed XP service pack 1?

Short of thoroughly checking SB's site for anomolies, I'm not sure what to suggest, other than staying on SB's ass like glue, and maybe look for Audigy user sites. I do know folks that use Audigy with XP (not sure if it's and Audigy EX though), but I haven't heard of any problems.

...if you can't get it to work, it might be your ticket for returning it and getting an Audiophile :)
