Btw, I thought it's so great I decided to cover it!

I don't know how it's recorded, but I don't like the sound of it. It's to muddy... The drums sound like they were recorded using 1 mic in the room, quite far from the drum, and the guitars have too much low in them, and not enough mid to be defined. Also, and this is very typical for that genre, too much distortion. Don't get me wrong, I've grown up listening to bands like this and worse (2 of my closest friends back then played guitars with agathocles, others played in Intestinal Disease), s it's not the distortion I'm bashing, distirtion is ok, but if you want to kee your mixes clear, and the guitars defined, use just as much dustirtion as you need.

Oh, and the bass has a very electric direct kinda sound. Kindof ibanez DI-ed into the board. Maybe that works for you, but I like a more acoustic kinda sound. (kindof jazzbass thru big amp with mic.. ;) )

Ow my. I like this better. Delay indeed. :D Actually, I'd overdo it even more. That would definately be better.
 
Hey, my wife mixed it (the reggae part)....you should hear her whole mix, she went nuts at the end! (I only faded it to make it sound a bit like F_cksia's song).

F_cksia, don't you think it's weird my band recorded this tune about 5 years ago? Were you, by any chance, in my band? Is your real name Geert-Jan? LOL :)

sorry. Didn't know what to think of it. I have really grown up with bands that toured whole Europe playing that kindof thing. Even a 3 week tour in Brazil, a one gig thing in Greece (get on the plane with guitar and bass, 3 days in hotel, plane back, 1 gig... My god.), stuff like that. And what they did just sounded a bit better, even not all that much.
 
Roel: aw.. poor you. Anyhow.. it was like a 10-minute 'session' to make some kind of parody on all those stuff you hear like cradle of filth and all. I just didn't ever get the point of it, and before I could say it's crap I just had to try it myself. Not too bad ey?

It got al weird n stuff. I couldnt tell what it was doing. I dl`d it twice and it was really broken up. Did I just fall for something? :confused:
