.hehe...after all the re-mixing I've been doing, I almost forgot how to do something new. So I kept it simple just to get back into the swing of things.

This is called JUST LIKE YESTERDAY

How does it sound? Guitars too loud? Drums not loud enough?

Hey RAMI,

I love the guitar tone and the vocal harmonising in the intro, great work.
I really like how the guitar tone that you have captured is encompassing the whole of the sonic soundscape of the tune. It drives the tune!!

I also like the bass tone you have in this tune which is a very staple diet of all your tunes, however it fits this tune beautifully.

The chiming of those rhythm guitars is very well captured, I am liking the guitar droning you have here! :) :) :) :) ..as you can probably tell!! :D

I would like to hear more high-mids in the snare or some rim shots just to really get the drum tracks cracking!!..I think the kick is sitting well in the mix, I would like to hear a boost by maybe just 1db to lift it up away from the bass guitar...(This suggestion is merely me delving deep).
The guitar solo could be phatter, but it is nice playing!
Nice work RAMI.. :) ..This tune makes your guitar tracks on some of your other tracks sound a little heavy in the low-mids, which is not a bad thing, it's just that the guitar tone on this track is nothing short of bloody great in my opinion.

Enough from me!!!

Gorty :)

alright, attached is an embarrassing shot of Rami mooning all of us. The worst part of this is that he thought it was funny at the time. Well now who's laughing? :p

Anyway, mix sounds amazing man. Song is catchy and good. I dig. Bass tone is excellent here too. Nice electric rhythms. Lead tone could be thicker and "soar" more, if that makes sense. Ending was very abrupt, sounds like player just stopped.
Great song man :D :D

was able to do it well enough for people to say I'm a good guitar player "for a drummer". I don't play upside-down any more, I have a Strat with the strings and nut switched around.
Guess what, "for a drummer" you're an even better bass guitar player, IMO. Honestly, I'd really have to practice hard to get your funky lines flowing the way they always are in your recordings.
Nice tune, again.

It probably did SnakeDude, it kept happening with me and I had to go back to the web page and re-load and move the slider along! :)

Thanx alot for the comments guys.

I did that to the ending on purprose, trying to get "She's so Heavy" ending, but I think i should just let it fade out after all. What I'm trying to do at the end probably doesn't really work. Thanc for all the comments and suggestions, I'll definitely keep them in mind when I re-mix this.

I had to type that last post quickly because I was leaving the house. But I just want to ad that you guys have great ears and I appreciate that you listen and comment with such detail.

The funny thng is, I hear that the guitar sound is thin in the solo, it's obvious. But I use the exact same sound for all my leads, and for that matter, I use one or two rythm sounds at most. But I guess that' I'm starting to learn that "tone" has alot to do with HOW something's played, not just the settings on the amp. I guess the way I'm playing the solo makes it sound thin. But it's not a different sound that the one I used on "Dirty Water" for example. weird.

Gorty, you're right on with your snare critique. I changed the skin just before recording and just couldn't get a crack from the new head. I spent hours tuning and still couldn't get it to crack. So I resigned myself to the fact that I just have to beat the thing until it works itself in. I might re-track the drums once I'm able to get a good snare sound again.

Nessbass, thanx alot about my bass playing. I'm no Jaco Pastorius, but being a drummer, have always listened to the bass and I try to play the way I'd enjoy listening to a bass player as a drummer.

thanx guys.

Guitar intro reminds me of "Spirit - When I Touch You", quite a bit, but hell, it sounds great.

Another Very punchy song! After know you are an Alice Cooper fan (it seems, at least  ) , I´m hearing yours songs by another "angle" , and understanding one of the great influences you have...
And mix sounds very good to me.
