Mechanical Monkey
I have guitars and sound equipment (e.g. mixing board, etc.) in the same room. What is the highest humidity electronics can take without rusting away? Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Speakers, mic diaphragms and wooden instruments will be affected long before the electronics. Considering that people live in the south with 90% humidity I think the electronics are safe.

The main thing with the other stuff is not to subject them to sudden and drastic temp and humidity changes.

I appreciate the reply Tex. I store all my mics in their boxes with silica gel packets. Would taking those out and using them in a humidified room be a bad idea (as that would, I suppose, be a drastic change). What would be the max humidity diaphragms could take? I want to maintain relative humidify in my room between 45 and 50%.
Thanks again
