I just got these 20/20's (Biamped) I tried them in the guys studio and no hum was noticed. I just plugged them in today and the amps have a slight hum on each. Its definatly emminating from the amp area, and not the the woofer or tweeter. Its hardly audiable, from a few feet away but very noticeable when your near them... Is this to be expected, or is it a power conditioning issue?

Thanks!
Josh

It could be ground looping, happens pretty often in home studios. Try changing the plugs around until it disappears. I had the same problem and just changed outlets until it disappeared, now its not even an issue.

Did I mention the hum is present even when the audio cables are unplugged fomr the speakers? It ever so slight, and can hardy be heard unless you get right up close. But still...?

Did you read my response?

Yes I did, I unplugged everything and went directly to the outlet with no luck. Its the only outlet they will reach, maybe i'll try one at differant plugs around the house to see if that will work.
