hmm, i had a really good guide to soundproofing / dampening and getting rid of unwanted reverberations... but i cant seem to find it.

Well, if the same goes for small rooms as it does for venues, just fill it with loads of people!

Check the studio building forum. There are more posts on absorbers/resonators and bass traps then you can shake a 57 at.
