HS2 - only records half of what we put in!

Hi guys
new to all this HS stuff and need a little help. set up was fine we use a guitar to usb box into the pc. whenever we try to record say 30 seconds, hs will only replay first 15, always about half of what is put in.

Has this happened to you? how did you get round it?

Hs looks good but we can not get into it with this problem!

That sounds strange. Could it be that you have punch points set up inadvertently and are recording in Auto-Punch mode? That's happened to me a few times, where I couldn't for the life of me figure out why stuff wasn't recording (or was recording only some of it). I put the Recording Mode toolbar shown so that I can always see what mode I'm in, and I haven't had the problem since then.
