Well, I do have this thing I'm working on this month; I was hesitant to post because it's not done yet, it just has it's rhythm section and horn parts tracked, it is without melody and solos right now, I'm waiting for my booking with the sax player. It also lacks a title so far.
What you hear is a Boss DR-660 drum computer with it's own native reverb (allowed in this exercise), a Carlo Robelli fretless bass plugged directly into the D1600, no effects or EQ whatsoever, a Roland RD-500 triggering an E-Mu Proteus 200 Rhodes sound, totally dry save for the native patch parameters, a Korg Triton horn section, dry, and a Fender Strat through a Zoom guitar pedal. The mix is rough, the track is unmastered, and no post production has been applied, save for normalization for volume and enveloping the beginning and ending for time's sake.
I'll probably end up retracking the Rhodes and horns, I'm not happy with em.
Edifying?
This will be on my 2nd jazz CD, coming sometime in 2004, after my Ambient CD Heaven is released this Christmas.
Cheers,
