How's this recording studio name?

Hey, guys. Wil from Children Of Aries here with another question.

I found out a guy in Tennessee has a studio called The War Room, so I'm changing my studio's name.

I'm a big NASCAR fan and they use Sunoco Green E15 fuel, so how does "E15 Studios" sound. Why? Because I'm going to be igniting the fuel for people to follow and achieve their dreams in an organic way. Real, recorded drum sounds, even if it's samples off my kit. No autotuned vocals. Real guitars. Real bass. I'll record metal, rock, hiphop. No gospel. Likely no country. I may even do some album liner notes layout or website design stuff.

Maybe I'll find something that comes from The Walking Dead TV show, because I'm a huge fan of that.
 
E15 studios has probably no meaning and significance to anyone but you and a few select others. Too esoteric.

If a name's origin and meaning has to take a paragraph to explain it, chances are it won't translate.

You want something simple that conveys.

Well, I was going to go with Deadland Studios, after The Walking Dead, but a guy in Florida is using that. His Deadland facebook hasn't been active since 2012 and is listed as "Permanently Closed," but I spoke to him today and he's still trying to get it going.

I would use "Conquer Studios" afterTWD season 5 finale but the url "conquerstudios.com" is taken.
 
Ignite on your recordings and nobody will care what you call your studio.
 
Good, I think. My point is, people will judge you by your recordings, not by the name of your studio (within reason...).
 
Who would want to record at a studio called Abbey Road?

The studio's name doesn't need to have any specific meaning.

So, feel free to call it what you like: E15 or COA Sound or anything. If you produce good results, when the name will be associated with good results, and work fill flow in. That's how branding and reputation are linked.
 
I think you're putting way too much thought and explanation into this. Just call it something and go.

As a side note, it's a sad statement about the music industry when someone has to brag about using real instruments. That's not a jab at you, OP, I commend you for your use of real instruments (even though the "organic" drum samples is kind of funny). But we've sunk to the point that using real instruments has become a novelty rather than the norm. Pretty sad.
 
The name of an up and coming studio is 100% meaningless to clients....it's only meaningful to you, so pick a name that you like, and then let the studio gain it's own reputation through you work, and not it's name.

You can call it "My Place"....or "The Studio" or whatever...it's not going to draw more or less clients.

If you have something you really like...go for it...it doesn't matter how odd it may sound. Not all studios have some "music/audio" reference in the title.

You're living in the belly of the beast....and no country? :D

Hey...today's country is more about Rock/Pop/Hip-Hip than it is about classic country...so you won't be going off-tangent too far if you include it.
What I mean is...if you are going to do Rock, Metal and Hip Hop...don't turn down country. You're a studio...take what you can get....work is work, and I bet the country people will be the easiest, mellowest to work with.
 
If you are going to use the name E15 Studios then I would pronounce it E One Five Studios instead of E Fifteen Studios. E One Five sounds a lot better in my opinion.
 
The name of my studio is the "The Tracker Shed" because I built a pole barn to keep my boat and tractor under and I enclosed one end of it for my recording studio.

"Tracker" is what I do in there and also, it's a play on the southern drawl pronunciation of "Tractor". We Mississippi rednecks don't always anouciate the T's.
especially when we try to talk too fast.
 
My studio is called Boston Recorders

Just because it seems to take me a decade to finish a record.
lol.

If you go for E15, make sure no one confuses you with E17, formerly known as East 17.... the singer of which is the only man I have heard of who managed to run himself over!

Haha. I've done that...with an ATV. I tried to pop a wheelie out of a ditch and one of my feet slipped off the foothold. It got caught under a back wheel and down I went.

I'm thinking of going with "Conquer Recording and Design." "Conquer" is the title of The Walking Dead season five finale.

Maybe, maybe not...but it's a mouthful and a PITA to have to type/spell that out in a URL! :D

Not to mention...it looks weird when you read it..."conquerre--------


Why not CRD Studios...crdstudios.com

And then you can expand on the CRD at the website - Conquer Recording Design


How about Zombie Recording. :D
