how's the M-Audio Firewire 410 with new drivers ?

I'm interested in buying the M-Audio firewire 410 interface. I want to use it as my home studio, to do some recording (guitars, conderser mic, midi). I have read lots of good things about it except for an issue with external midi controller sync and another with the volume/control knob.

I just saw on their website that they released some new drivers this month which were supposed to address these issues. Anyone tried it since then, are your problems resolved? What experince have folks had with this unit. Would you recommend it? If not, then what would you recommend, for this price ( $349.00 at a couple of online places) or less.
 
I had the same problem with the volume control, but the new driver update seems to have fixed the problem. Other than that I have been very satisfied with it.
 
Also you may be able to grab a new one on ebay for a little less than 300.
 
I've seen tehm on ebay for like 250..I'm planning on getting 1 or 2 of those myslef! :o
