I'm looking for an in ear monitor, some kind of small amp, and mic so someone could hear themselves talk. I would like the monitor to only go in one ear and be as small as possible so it's not obvious. Is there a good make/model to get? What about the amp and mic?

you basicly need 3, maybe 4 units and the cables to hook them up.
first you need a microphone: what is the application? a podium? handheld? on a stand? a Shure SM 58 is a fairly decent choice, as it is cheap and easy to find, and almost indestructable.
next the mic needs to go into a mixer. any small mixer will do, providing it has a headphone out. behringer makes one with 1 mic input and a few stereo inpute for around $50.
Next you need the in ear monitors. do they have to be wireless? if not, you can buy a pair of in-ear monitors and plug them into the headphone output, and voila you have in-ear monitors. you can use the line outs of the mixer to feed a powered speaker, or small P.A. system. hope this helps you out
