I am using at the moment cakewalk pro audio 8, which I think is fantastic, but I do not seem to be able to use the arpegiator apropriately. I've tried the one in Massiva sequencer ( rings a bell ? )and no problem, butI'm hopless at trying to get something "listenable" out of the arpegiator in cakewalk. I'd really appreciate any tip or hint on this. Thanx.

Hi Geordie,

The Arpeggiator in Cakewalk is not like others. It doesn't create a sequence of notes from scratch. It is more like an effect and it need some MIDI note input so that it can create arpeggios for each note or chord in your already existing MIDI data. So, what you need to do is select a MIDI track with preexisting data in it. Then apply the Arpeggiator effect to that data.

Best,
Scott
