How to sustain a note in using Roland GI-20?

HI guys.
i got a trouble, i'm using Roand GI-20 with my guitar to compose. but now i don't know how to sustain a note.
For example:Now i need to play a pad note and i want it last untill i want it stop, in playing synthesizer i can do that in keeping pressure on keyboard or sustain pedal. but on GI-20, what can i do?? There is no a sustain pedal jack on it but a expression pedal, can i make this pedal to control sustainment in any way ?

GI-20 sustain

I'm trying to figure that out myself -- sorry I don't have an answer yet. I just got my GI-20, and am just starting to tweak parameters. I wonder if maybe a device like the Ebow could continually activate the string enough to sustain the synth patch. This I'm going to try.
