So, I'm working on "remixing" a couple of songs (i know, i know, what a 'producah').
Essentially...ok, not essentially, literally, what I'm doing is building music around acapellas.
Anyway, I want to speed up the vocal tracks without changing the pitch. How is this done?
I'm pretty sure it's possible as those 'DJ' types do that kind of junk all the time right?

I use Cubase 6 btw, if theres a built in tool or something.

Cubase 5 has a time stretch function that does exactly what you describe (if i'm understanding right), so cubase 6 will have it too. In 5, you can go up to your tool bar thing (sorry, idk what it's actually called) and where you see the normal pointer icon, if you click and hold it will show you 3 choices. One of them is called "sizing applies time-stretch". You can just drag the clip either shorter or longer and it will condense/expand the length of the track without compromising pitch.
