I'm in my schools radio station staff and they have a room where they can have bands play. They have it setup so they can broadcast but they want to be able to record the bands as well.
I figure the best way to do this is have the comptuer, monitors, and mixer outside the room and have the band inside the room in headphones.
The other way i was thinking was having the mixer in the room as well as the headphones and mixer and let them controll everything and just send the line out to the computer and have the recording (they want to keep the comptuer out of this room).
any input as 2 how this could be setup is appreciated.
they have a 16channel mackie mixer, 3 line 6 rack modules for direct inputing instruments (two guitar and one bass) and an electronic drum set.
