HOW TO RELIEVE GAS?

I just bought a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top. For no reason.
I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Like William Shatner and the slot machine in the diner.
How does anyone stop? Or is that a pipe dream?

Gas is only temporarily ’cured’. As a matter of fact, the only thing that will stop it completely is death.
There’s always going to be that time, that just like a stray dog, a guitar will somehow just follow you home. It’s inevitable.
