A soundcard/ mic to capture the sound and some kind of tracking, editing, mixing software like Guitar Tracks Pro, or Audacity or Sonar or Cubase

HI

I am also starting to dabble in the computer recording side of things and would like a bit of help.

At the moment I have a Yamaha AW16G, which I like very much. However I have bought a second hand Delta 1010lt off EBay whch I will be using with Cubase SX. What I would like to know is, what is the best way to connect the AW16G to the Delta 1010? I also user a seperate amp for monitoring where shoud I connect this?

If I prefer the Computer recording I may eventually sell the AW16G and buy a dedicated mixer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave
