I have Cakewalk Guitar Studio 1.0 and I would like to do a home-made demo with it. I´ve done some guitar recording with Midi backgrounds and that works fine, but when I´ve tried to record two guitar tracks, I won´t hear that first recorded track when I´m playing the second one.

I´m not sure if you understand this explanation.

If I cannot record two tracks with Cakewalk so that I hear both tracks, then I guess I need to get some other program. What would you prefer?

sure Cakewalk will do what you need. Can you hear the first guitar track after you record it? if not, check under the output of that track, select it to your soundcard's output.
You should always be able to hear previously recorded track when you record a new one, as long as you are recording them on top of each other. meaning, you record the new one right under the old one, graphically speaking.

good luck

Disable that integrated soundcard, and get a new one. It could be that the old one isn't Full Duplex (meaning you can record and play back at the same time).

It worked fine...thanks A1A2 (3CPO, R2D2 or what ever :D ). I just selected "wave" to tracks port. I´m not sure what you meant about "record the new one right under the old one", but when I tested it, I recorded tracks 1,2 and 3 and they all played together (tracks 1 and 2 played in background, when I recorded third one).
