Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying an HS10W to go with my HS50M monitors. Any tips on how to place the sub, how to treat my space and sub settings would be greatly appreciated. Pic of my space attached.

Thanks,

Totally not kidding here -- You current speaker placement is really, really bad. Properly calibrating a stereo playback system and getting the room to react properly to it is hard enough. Adding a sub is another universe of complexity.

I'd go with larger speakers before adding a sub...

I was amazed , I know you are a musically inclined person . Thus, I guess you need to organize your things so that it will not look messy It would also great if you could have a wider space for your instruments.

Hey guys. Unfortunately this is the only space I have available. Any suggestions on proper placement of the monitors? Also, do u think I really need a sub if I'm only mixing and not doing any mastering?

Mixing or mastering makes no difference - the system is either reasonably accurate, or it isn't.

I'd start with "the usual" (your head being .38 the length of the long wall from the short wall, speakers a foot or so from that wall, spaced the same distance apart as the distance from your head) and go from there.

Short of calling in an experienced acoustician (definitely the best route), that's probably the best starting poing.
