I have just recorded some drum tracks over at a friend of mine, and now I need some guidance. I have never worked with live drums before, just samples, so I have no idea where to begin with this.
We could only record at two tracks at a time, so we decided to record snare/kick on one track and overhead on the other. When I got home and listened to the recordings, I wasn't really impressed with the work we did. It just doesn't sound as good as I was hoping it would be. I've tried playing around with EQ etc., without any luck on getting the sound I'm looking for.
I would appreciate if anyone would like to listen to the tracks and tell me if this is a lost case, or maybe guide me on how to make it sound better.
Mic's at kick / snare
Overhead mic
Thanks!
