How to loop without dropout in S3?

I have a recurring problem with drop-outs when looping. Had it in S2, and it's still in S3.

I know it's probably due to plug-ins, but even when using about 25% of the processor I get drop-outs when I reach the end of the looped segment. Just before starting again, that is. I guess it's the plug-ins that need a lot of power to reset or whatever when starting over again.

Any solutions, except bouncing to another tracks and archiving the original? I need low latency at the same time, because I loop during recording of guitar or vocal. I simply record while looping a verse 6-8 times until I feel there are a couple of good takes.

Looping really puts a strain on your computer for one or another reason. I've never figured out why.

But the same rules apply. You can:
- adjust up the latency
- archive the tracks you absolutely don't need to record
- Get a better CPU...
