Hello,
Using a Windows 10 work laptop, I have to use a software called panopto to narrate some powerpoint slides. Wanting to have better sound quality than comes through the laptop's inbuilt microphone, I plugged in an AT875R into channel 1 of an Onyx Blackjack 2x2 USB Recording Interface. The output of this device goes into the laptop and I can record in panopto using it and the sound is indeed better than using the laptop's microphone. However, when I listen to the sound through the recorded file, hosted using panopto - which I have to, teaching an online course - the sound only comes out of one side of the headphones.
I know it's possible to put the USB stereo signal into Audacity on a mono track to get around the issue and this works for pre-recorded material. But there are times when it'd be useful to live stream the narration. Is there a way to convert the USB stereo signal output to a mono signal and have that as the input to panopto?
Thanks in advance for any insights.
