How to connect my monitors to my interface...

I ordered the Wharfedale Diamon Pro 8.2s yesterday, and I'm looking for a cable to connect them to my Firestudio Mobile. These will be my first monitors, so I don't have any experience with the connection. They have balanced XLR ins and unbalanced RCA ins, and obviously the Firestudio has a main out. I'm not totally sure which cable to get, though. I'm not sure what all that "TRS" and "balanced" stuff means, and I'm not sure of the benefits of RCA to XLR.

So a little help would - help.

That cable has a female XLR end. I may be wrong, but I think you need male XLR. The TRS-TRS that izman recommended will definitely work, too.

CC.NYC, you're right, it does have to be a male XLR.

Thanks for your help guys. And I didn't even realize they were XLR/quarter inch combo inputs.

Any advantages to XLR instead of 1/4, and vice versa?

XLR locks. And it's more sexy. Other than that, not really.

I have the same monitors and i just use instrument cables from the interface.
