I have a number of songs from vinyl LPs in my harddrive (My Music folder) in WAV codec. I want to assign track file names and burn them to DVD in audio format, rather than data format, so the DVDs will play in a wider variety of remote DVD players. Is there a software application that will do this?

I don't know, but I do know your files need to be 48k. 44.1 probably won't work.

Here's the part where I get corrected!

Nero will let you make audio DVD disks. I just checked and it gives you the option to make either MP3, WMA or AAC-encoded audio DVDs.

Now the trick is.... you've got to have a DVD player that will accomodate those formats (usually anything produced recently will play computer-burned disks but you DO have to check...). I ran into that problem burning off my VHS home movies; you gotta have a player that will play burned disks....
