I think it's just that everyone was telling msblaze not to do 2 rooms, and it cannot be done, and you should have just one room. But msblaze wud rather have isolation from the instruments than better acoustics. I'm the same. I've got a 14' x 8' shed that im converting into 2 rooms. Eveyone probably thinks I'm mad, but it's what I want. I know the acoustics will be worse as 2 rooms than it would just one. But my small control room, properly treated will be a lot better acoustically than the other studios around here. So, I gave msblaze my opinion, and it fits. So it may seem that I'm the only one that really helped, 'cause everyone else just said to do it their way. (not everyone, i know)

I believe in ya, I only recomended a sing room because of the size of the room thats all........ :)
Thats why I sugested using as much of the other things as possibel such as direct recording or use of closets or a hall way to separate musicians.

No Harm no foul. But one sugestion, when "ASKING" for advice dont shut anyone down but take it with a "grain of salt". That way we wont be hesatent to reply in the future.

And I will say pandamonk's layout is pretty good given your space constraints.

Laters :)
