I have a friend who said he would be willing to sell me an old Traynor 4 - channel mixer. I havent seen it yet, but i want to roughly know how much i should be spending on it if i buy it - since i know next to nothing about this stuff. Any suggestions?

Do you have a model number?...was it just a mixer or a mixer/amp?....

Hello friend,

I think before this question can be answered, you need to find out some more info about this board.

Another question for you is what are you planning to do with this board.

What is the Model #?
How old is it?
Is it a powered board?
DOES IT WORK?

Once you get more info on it, I would recommend doing a search on eBay or some place like that to get a ball park figure.

I would also recommend that you see it, try it, touch it, play with it, etc....

Since this is a friend of yours, ask him if you can try it out for a little while before deciding to bye it.

Based on how you answer my question of what you're going to do with it will determine if you even need to bother with it.

I hope this helps

Peace
Joe

Im not sure of the model number, or its age. He told me it has an amp or whatever built into it (so i guess it is "powered").

I plan on using it only for vocals at band practise - you see, we have nohing to run vocals through right now, and we dont have tons of cash, so pretty much anything will do.....and i defenitly will test the thing out before i buy it.

thanks for the replies, Alaking
