How many audiotrack do you have on a IDE?

Hi.

Just wondering how many audiotracks (mono) you can play at the same time without any dropouts. 44.1 or 48.

I've heard that a P II 450 with 256 MB ram and a scsi HD can play around 54 tracks at bthe same time.

My Celleron 466, 128 MB ram and UDMA 33 IDE can play 28-30 tracks at 48 KHz.

How many can you get???

I can get somewhere between 30-40 stereo tracks running w/ DX plugs and VST plugs ....... PIII 550, 2x SCSI UltraWide, 256 MB
