How easy is it to replace/fix Phones jacks?

I use a Tascam 424 mkiii Portastudio with a rather finicky phones jack :wtf:and am wondering if it's an easy fix for someone with repair skills. If the jack has to be replaced, is that part easy to find? Thanks! :listeningmusic:
 
Aha, I'm going to give cleaning the inside of the jack a try. Helpful advice here -- thanks! I imagine the mkii isn't radically different from the mkiii.
 
Without actually looking inside one of those machines in eons, I'm thinking the same thing as Arcaxis; the solder joint on the circuit board is bad. With all the plugging and unplugging, they're going to go eventually. open it up, find the connection between plug and circuit board and touch it with a soldering iron to reflow the solder.

Or clean it. :)
