how does the soundcraft E and M series pres compare

I own both of E and M. The M pres are little more rich than the E. However the E series sound great. I would compare the E series to the mackie.
 
but not enough to choose a mackie over the E series right?
 
No, in fact the Soundcraft has a lot better EQ. The only downside is The E series has only 2 aux sends which may be fine for your application.
