How does a Squier Tele stand up to a Fender telecaster?

I've played Fender telecasters many times and I love how they play. I've also played Squires and know they don't sound and play very well. I was wondering how the Squire version compares to the originals.

I don't understand the question, you say you've played both and the squires don't sound or play well and the Fenders do. :confused:

IMO, squires are capable of sounding and playing just as well as the Fender counterparts, if you pick through a bunch and find a good one. Mostly it's a QC issue, and some of the components could be upgraded, but for the money, Squires are a real diamond in the rough.
