how do youmake a long movie available

I have just filmed a roast for a great man who is dying of cancer. I want be able to store this somewhere online where friends can access it. Anyone know where the best place one could do this? I'ts about an hour long.

stick in in a folder. compress it with winrar. go to megaupload, browse for the compressed folder and load it up. it's gonna take a little while, but when it's done it will give you a url that you can send to the people that want to see it.

Youtube limits you to 10 minutes per video.
If you want to have a file that people can download, rapidshare.com and other sites offer options depending on file size.

Split it in 6 parts and upload it to Youtube.

They'll be able to just click from part to part; that's not a big deal...

Thanks for the great responses. I would like to use youtube. Here is the problem. I have a channel set up for my music. Is there a way to set up a new channel so peoople can just see this video and not have it linked to my channel?

Just set up a new account the same way you set up your old one.

What's a roast ? Over here it's beef, lamb or chicken. I've not heard the phrase in any other context (except 'taking the mickey' out of someone), what does it mean ?

A 'roast' is a party where the friends of a person get up and tell jokes about the honored guest.

In the '70s the Friars Club and Dean Martin televised a large number of celebrity roasts where national comics would get up and trade barbs with each other. They have become classics over here.

What about swearing on youtube.

There is some swearing in the video, will it cause problems if I post it on youtube? And does anyone know how to make a new channel on youtube. When I go to youtube my music channel automatically comes up and there is no way to sign out. It seems to go by your email. Would I have to create a new email address?
